This road is perfectly passable. It was reopened and cleaned up after storm Alex.
A very good road to climb, much more difficult to descend, as it is so bumpy.
A slightly heavy section after the place known as La Lauze. The profile indicates 9% but it's quite irregular and there are also passages at 13% or even more.
You have to drive to the end of the road where the entrance to the Vallée des Merveilles and its Tourist Office are located...
This is where it really gets spectacular.
It's not a magical climb, but it is a serious one. The idea is to put your bike down and walk up to the rock engravings.
Mind you, the descent is rough, even hard, but at least it warms you up!

There are nicer alternatives in the area. The road surface is not very good which makes the descent less enjoyable than it should be. And the climb is harder than it looks :-)

Not a good road surface, which makes the descent at times a bit less enjoyable. If you climb on a gravel bike, then there may be an opportunity to discover some of the beautiful nature once the road ends. On a road bike, I would say there are nicer alternatives in the area.

We are starting to be in a long pass category which puts the endurance to the test with high average percentages, the climb is still going well.
