Beautiful climb with a beautiful scenery. The last part was very hard, so keep some energy if you are trying to go fast.
Nice varied climb, did the 21 km variant from Thuringen. The second part (after it joins from the start from Ludesch) was quite tough, especially the last kilometres. Just before the top there is a tunnel, a rear light is useful. The weather was gloomy and cool but honestly a welcome change from 15 degrees warmer 2 days ago.
Leuke afwisselende klim, de 21 kilometer variant vanaf Thuringen gedaan. Het tweede gedeelte (nadat ie samenkomt vanaf de start vanuit Ludesch) was best pittig, vooral de laatste kilometers. Vlak voor de top een tunnel, een achterlichtje mee is handig. Het weer was somber en koel maar eerlijk gezegd een welkome afwisseling met 15 graden warmer 2 dagen geleden.

The first part of this variant goes up from Thuringia. I had to make a detour because of works, so I had to take a steeper road for a part. (Aug 2021)
The (first) climb is easy and gives a nice impression of the Groß Walsertal. Most worthwhile however is the second part: the climb from Garsella to the top.
Net als de variant vanuit Ludesch zijn dit eigenlijk twee beklimmingen, waarvan de tweede het zwaarst en het meest de moeite waard. Zie daarvoor ook mijn ervaring bij 'Faschinajoch vanuit Ludesch'.
Het eerste deel van deze variant gaat vanuit Thüringen omhoog. Ik moest zelf een stukje omrijden vanwege werkzaamheden, daardoor een wat steilere weg moeten nemen voor een deel. (Aug 2021)
De (eerste) klim is verder goed te doen en geeft al een mooie indruk van het Groß Walsertal. Het meest de moeite waard is echter het tweede deel: de beklimming vanaf Garsella naar de top.
