Totally agree with the other reviewers. In any case, I really liked this climb because the road goes up very constantly, so you can pick up a nice rhythm (however low; you will most probably have to get out of the saddle). Totally agree with the other reviewers. In any case, I really liked this climb because the road goes up very constantly, so you can pick up a nice rhythm (however low; you will most probably have to get out of the saddle). Furthermore, the road surface is good and the street is very traffic-free (although there were cars's parked in front of some houses along the road). Therefore definitely a nice climb to do if you are (reasonably) in the area. By the way, cycling around Eupen is beautiful anyway!

P.S. I was also attracted by Jurne's comment that this climb would have the steepest gradient in Belgium; in the comparison table, the Edelstrasse is ranked 2nd behind a climb in southern Wallonia; however, that shouldn't spoil the fun, especially if you don't frequent southern Belgium.

Climb with the highest average gradient in Belgium, you must have done it once. Actually it wasn't too bad, so maybe RobPolus is right about the percentage. Last week, I rode the Rue de la Sèche and it felt much steeper. But now about the climb: make sure you have your gears set because it starts right away, the climb is short enough that you can go all-out without blowing yourself up. The road surface is good and there is hardly any traffic. There are some streets in the neighbourhood that go towards the same point, these are also steep and might be worth a climb.

Ridden it today for the first time. Steep thing, for sure. But these figures seem to me (and my garmin) somewhat exaggerated. I have ridden steeper ones to my feeling. It is not that bad. And pretty short too. Anyway, if you are in the area there is certainly nothing wrong with it.
