A climb up a main road. Wide and despite the bends quite boring because there is not much to like about it. In addition, cars pass regularly and one wonders whether it is more convenient to cycle on the road or on the car park next to the road (also asphalt but a slightly inferior quality (coarser)). So why do this climb? Because it is a wonderful challenge as a steep runner of over 500 metres with 10％ average. You can really cycle yourself to pieces here. A good test route.
Een klim over een hoofdweg naar boven. Breed en ondanks de bochten best saai want er is weinig lieflijks aan. Daarnaast passeren er regelmatig auto's en vraag je je af of het nu handiger is om op de weg te fietsen of over de parkeerplaats naast de weg (ook asfalt maar een net iets mindere kwaliteit (grover). Waarom dan toch deze klim doen? Omdat het wel een heerlijke uitdaging is als een steile loper van ruim 500 meter met 10％ gemiddeld. Hier kan je jezelf echt wel stuk fietsen. Prima testweg dus.
In Flanders we dare to call this climb the 'Kehrweg' to the stadium of first division Eupen.
Steep, narrow thing. Definitely worth the effort, but not insurmountable.
In Vlaanderen durven we van deze klim ook wel te spreken als de 'Kehrweg' naar het stadium van eersteklasser Eupen.
Stevige steil, smal ding. Zeker de moeite, maar niet onoverkomelijk.
