Voelt een beetje als de 'Eyserbosweg van Bunde': deze klim begint ook rustig maar wordt venijnig in het bos, waarna je eenmaal bovenop in het gehucht Kasen een stukje rustig kunt uithijgen tot aan de driesprong. Heerlijk verkeersluw. Een van de mooiere klimmetjes in de buurt!
Nice way to get to Kasen from Meerssen, nice alternative to the Kruisberg. Quiet start, steep bit towards the end until 12％. At the top you can go right towards the airport, or left towards Moorveld.

A climb that starts relaxed. After passing the monastery the road becomes a cycling path (it remains a narrow asphalt road but is closed to other traffic) which was vaguely visible because of fallen leaves. Nice route where you slightly descend into a small valley and then rise sharply to the Kloosterberg. Then turn right for another steep climb to the end of the climb.

Als je het klooster bent gepasseerd wordt de weg een fietspad (het blijft een smal asfalt weggetje maar is afgesloten voor het overige verkeer) die vanwege afgevallen bladeren nogal vaag zichtbaar was. Mooi traject waarbij je licht afdaalt een dalletje in en daarna sterk stijgt naar de Kloosterberg. Daar rechtsaf voor nog een pittig stukje stijgen tot het eind van de klim.
