Tough climb with regular views of the lake. Shaded for large sections of the ride with plenty of stops and shops in the villages along the way. Could even stop for a wine tasting
Definitely a climb to recommend. Not too steep but also not too easy. Pretty smooth all the way up at about 8-9％ average. Ramps up sometimes but not for long. Beautiful scenery on the way to the top. The descent can be a bit nerve wracking at times since the surface is sometimes bad but also narrow roads with cars cutting corners.
A climb worth recommending. Not too steep, but difficult at times. But the views along the way and at the top are a must see. Little car traffic, but I was riding during the week. The condition of the asphalt is rather average, narrow in places and a lot of potholes and cracks, you have to descend carefully.
Podjazd warty polecenia. Niezbyt stromy, ale momentami trudny. Za to widoki po drodze i na szczycie koniecznie trzeba zobaczyć. Mały ruch samochodowy, ale jechałem w tygodniu. Stan asfaltu raczej średni, miejscami wąsko i sporo dziur i pęknięć, trzeba uważnie zjeżdżać.
Good climb. You have to know how to manage, especially the last few kilometres, but at the top there is a beautiful landscape. Possibility of refreshments at the end.

A great climb overlooking Lake Como, offering pleasant views as you climb, it requires good training. In the first few kilometres you take a breather at the hairpin bends, but before and after the piani del tivano there are very hard sections that cut your legs, you have to manage well! Must do.
Gran bella salita che si affaccia sul lago di como, regalando piacevoli panorami mentre si sale, richiede un buon allenamento. Nei primi km si rifiata ai tornanti, prima e dopo i piani del tivano invece ci sono tratti molto duri che tagliano le gambe, bisogna gestirsi bene! Da fare.

I found this quite a tough climb after 120 kilometres of cycling. There are steep bits in it that are quite nerve-wracking. At 13 kilometres, the climb is quite long for the region. I didn't find it a busy climb and in the hairpin bends in the first part you have a mighty view of Lake Como. Then at the top of the climb you have a great view of the already on the other side.
I found this really quite an okay climb. If you want to stomp around for between half an hour and an hour, this is also a great climb to have a good time.
Ik vond dit nogal een pittig klimmetje na 120 kilometer fietsen. Er zitten steile stukjes in die best even auw doen. De klim is met zijn 13 kilometer vrij lang voor de regio. Ik vond het geen drukke klim en in de haarspeldbochten in het eerste deel heb je een machtig zicht op het Comomeer. Op de top van de klim heb je dan weer een geweldig uitzicht op het al aan de andere kant.
Ik vond dit echt een hele okay klim. Mocht je lekker willen stampen tussen een half uur en een uur is dit ook echt een geschikte klim om even lekker stuk te gaan.
The most beautiful climb of the Lake Como branch! Quite long, with a couple of kilometres at 80 per cent to recover. Be careful not to overdo it! The last few km are tough and you go into reserve with your strength! Beautiful views of Lake Como.
La più bella salita del ramo del lago di Como! Abbastanza lunga, con un paio di km al 80 per cento del percorso per recuperare. Attenzione a non strafare! Gli ultimi km sono duri e si va in riserva con le forze! Panorami bellissimi sul lago di Como.
In 2017 I did this climb with no previous experience and it was not smart. The climb is great and less steep than the climb from Bellagio but it is very long. From here on to the famous cycling museum on the Ghisallo is easy. Visiting this place is a must for every cycling fan.
In 2017 deze klim zonder eerdere ervaring gedaan en dit was niet slim. De klim is geweldig en minder stijl dan de klim vanuit Bellagio maar hij is wel heel lang. Vanuit hier door naar het beroemde wielermuseum op de Ghisallo is easy. Deze plek bezoeken is een must voor elke wielerliefhebber.
