It is a very pleasant climb (provided you avoid going over the wall), which is not too long, but certainly not too short. The road is sheltered by trees for most of the climb, and on the descent towards Nesso you can enjoy the view of Lake Como.
Subida a un desnivel constante, muy agradable (siempre que se evite ir por el muro), que no se hace demasiado larga aunque desde luego no es corta. Gran parte de la subida la carretera va protegida por árboles y en la bajada hacia Nesso se disfrutan las vistas hacia el lago Como.
A steady climb rewarded at the top with great views.
Nice climb that becomes more demanding in the last 5km (practically when you have made the hairpin bend, you find the 5km sign at the observatory). The last section is in the midst of pine forests. Suggested departure from Asso and descent to Nesso with return from Como.

Very nice climb, with steady gradient and some steeper parts. The climb is quite long, but still short enough not to crack completely in case you started too quickly. Of course, soon after Sormano, you can cut left and do the famous "Muro", but keeping straight offers an equally great cycling experience.

My first "long" climb! Excellent road surface, fairly even gradient, weekend traffic, especially to get to the foot of the climb by bike. Very beautiful.
La mia prima salita "lunga"! Manto stradale ottimo, pendenza abbastanza regolare, traffico nel weekend, specie per arrivare in bici ai piedi della salita. Molto bella.
