Very difficult for me, steady gradient but the last 3 km really heavy. Up to 15%! The asphalt is being resurfaced in places and this helps a lot. Practically zero cars and zero bikes. Only very good and brave cyclists.
Molto difficile per me, pendenza costante ma gli ultimi 3 km veramente pesanti. Fino al 15%! L’asfalto è in rifacimento in alcuni punti e questo aiuta molto. Praticamente zero macchine e zero moto. Solo ciclisti bravissimi e coraggiosi.
Wonderful climb with a murderous end.
The climb starts quite sweetly over a very quiet road. I saw more cows than cars along the way. The road surface is beautiful in the beginning and the percentages quite okay, with occasional bumps. With six kilometres to go, the percentages increase every kilometre. With 3.5 kilometres to go you pass a little fountain where rolls of dextrose are waiting for you. That's the sign that there are a few terrible kilometres to go until the top. To begin with, these kilometres are lousy. The road surface then becomes even worse, of that asphalt with large grit with real space between the grit. This alone makes the road hard to ride, and then it also climbs over 10%. With a good kilometre to go, the beautiful views begin. Stopping to enjoy them is a good excuse against the percentages of the mountain. Getting back on the bike afterwards is not easy...
On top of the pass is a bench and some flags. In the first few kilometres of the descent, watch out for loose gravel in the bends.
Prachtige klim met een moordend einde.
De klim begint vrij liefelijk over een heel erg rustige weg. Onderweg kwam ik meer koeien tegen dan auto's. Het wegdek is in het begin prachtig en de percentages heel okay, met af en toe een hobbeltje. Met nog zes kilometer te gaan nemen de percentages elke kilometer toe. Met nog 3,5 kilometer te gaan kom je langs een fonteintje waar bij het fonteintje rollen druivensuiker klaar liggen. Dat is het teken dat er een paar vreselijke kilometers komen tot de top. Om te beginnen zijn deze kilometers loeidrukte. Het wegdek wordt dan ook nog eens slecht, van dat asfalt met groot grit met echt ruimte tussen het grit. Hierdoor rijdt de weg alleen al zwaar, en dan stijgt het ook nog dik boven de 10%. Met nog een dikke kilometer te gaan beginnen de mooie vergezichten. Even stoppen om daarvan te genieten is een goed excuus tegen de percentages van de berg. Weer opstappen daarna is nog geen sinecure...
Bovenop de pas is een bankje en staan wat vlaggen. De eerste kilometers van de afdaling even uitkijken voor los grind in de bochten.

It hurts because the pass is in the middle of the mountain and not in the lower part.

Frega perché il colle è a metà montagna e non nella parte più bassa.
