Unfortunately much traffic on this route, here and there a dark tunnel, but it is worth the Galibier as well to do.

Fantastic climb with pleasant percentage. The tunnels are a bit less and lights are definitely a must but despite this definitely a must!

Climbing from Bourg d'Oisans. Good preparation for the real steep mountains. Nice varied climb with pieces where you can recover. Lights are advisable in the tunnels: the road surface is not equally good everywhere. The problems with the broken tunnels are well solved.

Nice and steady climb, few parts that are extremely steep. In the beginning some parts of 8-9%, later continuously 4-5%. Do not be fooled by the signs that say the Lautaret is closed. Through the specially designed road you can get around the closed tunnel. Note that there are not many villages along the way. Halfway through the climb and on top you will find some. Lights are definitely recommended, you come across 5 tunnels of which 2 are longer than 600 meters.

I cycled up this climb from Bourg d'Oisans. In total about 47 kilometers of climbing (including the climb to the Galibier). The part towards the Lautaret was very long, but doable. I do want to advise everyone to take a light for the tunnels. Due to the closure of the tunnel at Lac du Chambon, there is a new road on the south side of the lake. For this you need a small piece of Les Deux Alpes. Then it is self-explanatory.

I've cycled him, started on the square in burg d oisans is long 30km but not so heavy almost doable with large resistance, is beautiful at the top 2000m many terraces to recover with many three thousanders around you anyway a must, but is not a kuitenbijter do not always, occasionally also enjoy environment
