Participating in the col connecté 06 yesterday in Valberg.
I slept near the pass and attempted the climb this morning.
Uneven ascent with big assholes and rest areas.
A must do

A faire absolument

One of the most beautiful passes in the Alps: the finish at the foot of the Aiguilles de Pelens is extraordinary! A very demanding climb, especially as the most difficult part is at the end.

Really hard this one, steep from start to finish. I couldn't get into a good rhythm anywhere, very hard riding. Lots of curves, especially in the beginning. Fortunately, there is a restaurant halfway where I could have lunch. At the top it is a bit of a search to find out where the real top is. But a phenomenal view. The descent to Colmars is nice, beautiful terraces and a long piece through the woods. At the bottom you are suddenly at a crossroads with a busy road. Right into the village, left to the Col d'Allos, the third climb of the day. Glad that this one is over. I will not do it again soon.

Very nice climb which becomes more and more beautiful in the last 5 km (the most difficult). We had the chance to go through the meadows covered with flowers: a dazzling sight :-)
It's worth going through Cayolle - les champs - Allos

Tricky! Especially when it comes after the Col d'Allos and the Col de la Cayolle. Where those two cols are rather gradual, this one is steep from the start and hardly has any rest points. I'll think twice before doing this one again. (I am not such a trained cyclist). The descent to Colmars is very nice (a bit bumpy in the beginning, then a nice winding path through the forest, which seems to go on forever).

Lastig!!
