Beautiful climb from Remuzat. In the Tour de France, this climb is of the 2nd category. If you start the climb from the D94 in Remuzat territory, you notice immediately that it goes steeply up. The road is narrow and constantly bends but there are only a few hairpin bends. The surroundings are beautiful, maybe the most beautiful part of France. The col is fairly even but hardly any shade and the extremely hot weather in the summer make it beautiful but tough. No traffic at all and narrow road ... read more

Nice gentle climb. Middle section tough, otherwise doable.

Mooie gelijdelijke klim. Middenstuk pittig, verder goed te doen.

Climbed 26 June 2024. Good road and quite a long climb (7.6 km). Nice cycling area. This col can be combined with the Col de Peyruergue and Col d'Ey.

No traffic at all and narrow road surface give you a real climbing feeling of the highest order.
The road surface is very good but in the descent to Sainte-Jalle the road surface is grainy but ok.
An absolute must and on the way you can enjoy the beautiful views on the river " Eygues ".
Bringing enough booze is a must.

Prachtige beklimming vanuit Remuzat.
