I didn't have a very good time on this pass, even though it's very handy for getting back to Thiers. The road is a long straight line, the few bends at the end are in the very steep part. The closer you get to the pass, the higher the road gets. There is some traffic and few views as the road is quite enclosed. I'd recommend passing it if it's convenient for your itinerary, but you won't miss anything if you avoid it.
