An irregular climb up the vast beech forest of the Coulmes from Rencurel, on a road that was in poor condition the last time I was there (three years ago). For those who can combine biking and hiking, the picturesque site of La Goulandière, a beautifully restored abandoned charcoal-making village, is within walking distance.

Note that this climb could be started not from Rencurel, but from Pont-en-Royans, much lower down. You could then add the route of the lower part of the Bourne gorges, which is very spectacular...

Montée irrégulière qui arpente l'immense hêtraie des Coulmes à partir de Rencurel , sur une route en mauvais état la dernière fois que j'y suis passé (il y a trois ans). Pour ceux qui peuvent combiner vélo et randonnée pédestre, le pittoresque site de la Goulandière, un village de charbonniers abandonné et joliment restauré, est à portée de marche.

À noter qu'on pourrait faire partir cette montée, non pas de Rencurel, mais de Pont-en-Royans, bien plus bas. On y adjoint alors le parcours de la partie inférieure des gorges de la Bourne, très spectaculaire…
