Very pleasant climb, less crowded than the main route from Grenoble to Vence. There is a fountain in col de Vence and le Sappey en Chartreuse. The view of the Chartreuse's peaks from Neron to Chamechaude is worth the climbing effort !

Good running climb. Before col de Vence, there is a small descent that this profile does not really reflect.

Goed lopende klim.

One of the many ways to reach the Porte pass, and which has the advantage of cumulating four passes, not less, in one single ascent, since before reaching the Porte pass you will have crossed the passes of Clementières, Vence and Palaquit, in that order! :-)

It is also a little less frequented than the standard ascent by Grenoble. That said, as for this one, it is better to avoid rush hours.

The part between Clémencières and Vence is the less frequented, relatively easy and pleasant to walk.
