The first part is fairly flat, climbing slowly through a nice valley with views of the much higher road that leads directly to the Col de Neronne from Salers. The second part is 7% average, climbing like a real alpine col, with nice curves and nice views. So more "real" climbing than from Salers.
Het eerste deel is vrij vlak en stijgt langzaam door een mooi dal met uitzicht op de veel hoger gelegen weg die vanuit Salers direct naar de Col de Neronne loopt. Het tweede deel is gemiddeld 7%, en klimt als een echte alpencol, met mooie bochten en een mooi uitzicht. Meer "echt" klimwerk dus dan vanuit Salers.
