The most complete of the three sides of this pass! Villages, a variety of slopes, hairpin bends and a pastoral environment make this one of the most enjoyable climbs in the region!
The first part is fairly flat, climbing slowly through a nice valley with views of the much higher road that leads directly to the Col de Neronne from Salers. The second part is 7% average, climbing like a real alpine col, with nice curves and nice views. So more "real" climbing than from Salers.
