A relatively short pass, but one that doesn't offer a moment's respite with high gradients throughout. In the forest, views are scarce, but you'll be too focused on your effort to think about looking around. At the top, kick your legs to the left to face the Pas de Peyrol, or head back down to the beautiful village of Salers.
Un col relativement court mais qui n'offre aucun moment de répit avec des pourcentages élevés tout du long. Dans la forêt, les points de vue sont rares, mais vous serez trop concentrés sur votre effort pour penser à regarder autour de vous. Au sommet, tuez vos jambes vers la gauche pour affronter le Pas de Peyrol, ou redescendez vers le magnifique village de Salers.
3.8 kilometres that does not go below 8％, very mean climb that is underestimated. In the 2024 Tour stage along with the Pas de Peyrol and the Col de Pertuis set the scene for a historic stage. Approach is also worth mentioning, 15 kilometres of false flat with 300 altimeters before the real climb starts. Highly recommended!

Aanloop is daarnaast ook te vermelden, 15 kilometer vals plat met 300 hoogtemeters voordat de echte klim begint. Aanrader!
If you're on your way to the Puy Mary Pas de Peyroll, this is really good preparation for what's to come. On the last bit, the percentages are really steep, and the hairpin turns are also of high calibre.
Als je onderweg bent naar de Puy Mary Pas de Peyroll is dit echt een goeie voorbereiding op wat nog komt. Op het laatste stukje zijn de percentages echt steil, en ook de haarspeldbochten zijn van hoog kaliber.
Very nice climb through the forest. A steady slope at 10％ and passages at 14％. Perfect for following on from the Pas de Peyrol.

A tough warm-up for the Pas de Peyrol. Not very special, but certainly challenging. You ride mainly in the forest, with percentages which are not too bad in the beginning, but soon go towards 9-10-11 percent. It is a kind of Ardennes climb, but then twice as long. Fortunately, after the Neronne and before the Peyrol there is a flat and downhill part to catch your breath again.
Een pittige opwarmer voor de Pas de Peyrol. Niet heel bijzonder, maar zeker uitdagend. Je rijdt voornamelijk in het bos, met percentages die in het begin nog meevallen, maar al snel richting 9-10-11 procent gaan. Het is een soort Ardennen klim, maar dan 2 keer zo lang. Gelukkig heb je na de Neronne en voor de Peyrol een stuk vlak en afdaling om weer even op adem te komen.
This pass is, in spite of a landscape that is not exceptional, relatively steep and intense with staggering percentages all along.
Ce col est, malgré un paysage qui n'a rien d'exceptionnel, relativement raide et intense avec des pourcentages ahurissants tout du long.
