Col de Labays from Lourdios, beautiful climb, certainly worthwhile in my opinion. In any case, if you like variety in landscape/view, the first part in a narrow valley with high imposing rock walls, and later through the woods further up.
Also in terms of gradient it is not boring for a moment. From the beginning, steep parts are alternated with flat ones, or down again, and then suddenly steep up again. Only the last 5 km are reasonably stable in terms of %.
If you like a steady climb, this is definitely not the place to be.
The road surface is ok, it was reasonably quiet, only a handful of cyclists along the way.
The view of the col itself is nothing, you'd better cycle on to the col de Soudet (4 km further on) for the beautiful views.
