Today with the mountain bike the 2nd part ( D570 ) of this beautiful climb done. The first part I had done last year and that is a runner you can do with the big plateau. The road the D173 is very wide but no bike path as usual in France. But once you leave the D173 and turn left on the D570 it becomes a killer. The road is still about 2 meters wide and this last part of 2.4 km with an average of 8% has a descent and a flat part of 400 meters and then you know how hard it is.
Especially the last 300 meters are killing and cut off your legs but the beautiful surroundings make up for it. The road is constantly winding against the steep wall. You imagine yourself here in the (cycling) paradise. Beware of the descent because it is dangerous (abyss and 2m wide at many pieces) and many loose gravel.
