En réalité le col débute dès la sortie de la Bourboule avec 6-7 km à 3-4% puis le col, ce qui en fait un col usant notamment quand comme moi cette année, tu le passe en janvier après 90 km avec un fort vent, Pour sa partie finale, je l'ai grimpé 3x en une semaine, étant un col parfait pour relier Murol, car peu long et assez facile avec une belle vue et une belle descente.
