The asphalt in the upper section (above Bambois) was completely resurfaced at the end of August 2024. The road is in perfect condition. Ideal for a nice winding descent. As for the climb: a fine 700m ascent (as far as Champ du Feu), with gradients of around 7%. The road is fairly lightly used by cars: it's much quieter than via Andlau or even Saint-Martin.

Only nice climb on good tarmac, nowhere more than 10% so here you can turn around well if fitness permits.
