I have ridden all the passes around here but I don't remember climbing the Col de L'Epine by this version or it has been a long time.
In any case, it's now done on the 17th of March 2022.
The foot really starts in St Ferréol and not in Serraval, which gives 14,3km for a little more difference in altitude.
No major difficulty, just two slightly difficult sections, between Le Villard and Le Bouchet in a long straight line and a little before the pass, the summit is at 947M but the high point of the route is at 968M... as this version is downhill.
The road surface is good to average and the traffic is moderate between Serraval and Co, and a little heavier between St Ferréol and Serraval.
At this time of the year there is still snow on the summits which gives a different aspect to the landscapes compared to the July-August period.
Have a good trip and be careful
