Quite an easy climb, done just after Arpettaz to lengthen the exit. It's fairly constant, the road is quiet, but the scenery is rather plain, so go and do the Arpettaz next door, which is much more worth the diversions!

For me, it was the hardest pass in Haute-Savoie. It was early afternoon, there wasn't a breath of air, and there was absolutely no shade on this slope. Watch out for heatstroke! What's more, there's nothing to see on the way up, apart from the summit.

This climb was right opposite our campsite so I couldn't pass it up. You cycle from Marlens into the forest pretty quickly. From there, it keeps climbing steadily but nowhere is it above 10%. This allows you to find a good rhythm. Every now and then you have a nice view to your left. Otherwise, it is mostly wooded.

A nice little pass at the start of Marlens, the first half easy and the second much more complicated.
Not to be neglected.
The road is good, a bit less if you go down to Le Bouchet and then Serraval, traffic wise it's quiet.
The morning is cool because it is sunny most of the way.
Nice views of the surrounding mountains and the valley below.
Good road and be careful

My first col during this holiday and actually first alpine col ever. Nice to start with and not to underestimate. There are nicer and tougher ones in the region but because it was my first one it remains special.

If you are at a campground near the lake, then you should definitely take this climb! Story above is true as a bus.
