I did this climb to cut a loop off the – lovely – separate cycle path “La Voie Verte”, which runs through the Moselotte and Moselle valleys. A proper calf-burner on a narrow but decent little road that really took it out of you, especially towards the end. There’s little traffic and it’s manageable for the experienced cyclist.
