The highest point in Bas-Rhin. A regular and pleasantly long climb. The steepest part is clearly in the stretch once you leave Barr and turn right, but not too crazy in terms of percentages. Wooded, but towards the top a nice panorama over Alsace. End at the well-known watchtower, a monument from 1898.
A fine climb almost all the time under the cover of trees, except at the very end. Some lovely views over the Alsace plain. Done at 7:30 on a Saturday morning, with virtually no traffic. Excellent surface.

At the summit, there's a lovely viewpoint.
