Very beautiful climb past idyllic countryside and villages from the past. Signs on the climb inform you of the gradient for the next section. Pretty good road surface but lots of cow and horse poo. Couple of pretty steep and tricky sections but with hairpins eventually for respite. If you’re in the area then this is a climb not to miss for sure!
This climb is by far the toughest I have ever done. Jeez how steep. The last 6km takes almost an hour. I did this one in nice warm weather. But how beautiful the scenery is. And the views formidable.
