Particularly beautiful climb completely through the forest. Normally I'm not into these kinds of forest climbs, but Aachenerwald is really great. Completely car-free, excellent tarmac, and what also struck me was that there are even basic facilities like bins, water spots and toilets in several places.

Exceptionally beautiful climb in a crackling green setting. You start among villas of all shapes and sizes. Very soon, there are few buildings left, but mostly trees. Nice long climb too for this region. I found this climb to have a very steady ascent. In the descent, the tarmac is not great.

A great ascent that climbs steadily over 2 kilometres at around 8 per cent. The surroundings are very quiet and you cycle through the forest without cars. Only the asphalt can be heavily covered with leaves in autumn/winter.

For those who don't want to cycle up the Vaalserberg for once, this is a great alternative to cycling into Belgium. To get there, you do have to pass a bit through Vaals, Aachen but that makes this climb well worth it. The regular climb consists partly of public road and partly of a cycle path. Here the asphalt is of lower quality but fine to do. In terms of landscape, you occasionally imagine yourself on the Posbank. The hairpin turn the highlight, enjoy!

A very nice climb, first a nice road along some houses and the forest and then a small road into the forest. During the whole route the tarmac is fine. On the maps there is a short gravel strip but the whole route consists of asphalt. The climb follows a nice hairpin curve after which you follow a ridge so that sometimes you can look down to the right and sometimes to the left. At the "Siebenwege" about straight up, there another straight piece of road with a nice slope and then you're at the top (at the curve to the left).
When descending pay attention because here and there are some loose stones on the asphalt and the hairpin suddenly comes at you quite fast.
