Je rijdt eerst nog over een straat langs enkele huizen maar verder (bij de brandweerkazerne) wordt het een smalle geasfalteerde bosweg en gaat deze behoorlijk pittig omhoog door enkele flauwe bochten. Verderop wordt de weg recht en dan zie je de klim leuk voor je liggen. Na een gebouwtje volg je de asfaltweg naar rechts waar deze in een rechte lijn omhoog naar het eindpunt gaat. Je komt uit bij een picknickplaats bij een kruising. Rechtdoor gaat een wandelpad door het natuur- en hoogveengebied Struffelt en zowel naar links als naar rechts kan je afdalen over een goede gravelweg.
