Leaving Collioure, quiet road, correct carpet. Strong wind as usual in the area. Splendid panoramas that justify the 5 stars.

A little-known climb in the area, via the tourist train route. On the other hand, avoid the downhill section as the road is of poor quality.

The first part of the climb from Collioure is very bad and steep, sections well above 10%. Going up is no fun and I advise against it for the descent.
The second stretch the road is much better and nice and quiet. I omitted the final climb given the difficult start.

The last kilometre was a difficult, almost impossible climb, but it was beautiful!

I really cycled my lungs out on the last bit. It may not be cobblestones, but it reminded me of the Paterberg 😅.

Nice climb. It is not too long, so it is easy to do. Make sure you have some left for the last part to the castle. Here it gets really steep!!!!

Mooie klim.

It was a nice climb, until you get to the top. Bad tarmac, and the view was a bit disappointing. Also, the 23% part was very steep with a 30/28 gear.

Very nice climb to the local castle from the coastal campsites there, but make no mistake. The last 300 metres to the castle go up to 24% ! So colour that section black. You'll hardly get ahead. But it's cool when you look out over the region without your feet on the ground and the forest road leading to it is very quiet, only one car goes there and a stray hiker. Go especially early in the morning.
