Un des plus beaux « murs » ardennais, les Hézalles, forme l'entame de cette côte. Ensuite, elle devient nettement plus facile, puis descend sur Bergeval pour remonter, par une route étroite, en mauvais état mais praticable (du moins l'année dernière), vers le Tier de la Cognée. Le cadre est très agréable, particulièrement sur cette fin de la côte.

Il n'y a pas si longtemps, on pouvait monter au Tier de la Cognée par la vallée de la Salm, mais ce versant est devenu impraticable pour les vélos de route à partir de Rochelinval…
