Eigenlijk start de klim al onderaan de Tjampensstraat, ervan uit gaande dat je niet van de top van Tiegem naar beneden rijdt om opnieuw te beginnen waar deze op de kaart start. In dat geval start je met een stukje vals plat om dan links op te draaien op een slecht lopend stuk beton dat relatief steil naar boven gaat. Eens je dan rechts opdraait is het vals plat tot boven. Niets moeilijks aan dus. Op zich landschappelijk wel mooi want je hebt overal open ruimte.
