Dit is een interessante variant van de Tiegem. Vooral doordat er aan deze kant niet te veel verkeer is en je makkelijk de voet kan bereiken, in vergelijking met de Hellestraat bvb waar je een vervelend kruispunt over moet. Hier moet je nog steeds een drukke weg over maar het is meer overzichtelijk. De klim gaat vrij geleidelijk en je hebt bijna continue een interessant uitzicht. Het wegdek is ook goed aan deze kant.
