Very nice views and some easier sections in between. The condition of the road was not so good from the entrance to the national park and about 5km before the summit there was a section where the road was being rebuilt, so it was more gravel than road cycling. You should have €10 with you for the entrance to the national park

Beautiful long climb with many different views. From sea views to rugged and mountainous.

Narrow road surface, occasionally bad sections, watch out for traffic.

A long climb. In July mornings up to 8 o'clock you ride in the shadow of the mountain, so it's cooler until the turn, which is towards the Skywalk Biokovo viewpoint. There it is already full sun. At 2023 I paid €6 to enter the park by bike. At the top there is a small flattening, even a moment slightly downhill. Then it's uphill all the way. The quality of the asphalt on the ascent doesn't bother me. On the descent, the quality of the asphalt is not too bad. The road is rough and bumpy. On the bends, you have to watch out for sand, as grinding can be painful. The asphalt varies from place to place. There are sections of great quality as well as of terrible quality. In general, it is worthwhile to be prepared. It is worth taking extra drink with you. On the way there was only a shop open at the viewpoint. There were two more on the way, but they were closed as I rode.

The ascent is perhaps not very ％ , but it is very long and tiring. The asphalt leaves a lot to be desired, plus in high season you have to watch out for cars as the road is very narrow. There is a fee to enter the park.
The views at the summit , in fine weather, make up for all the hard climbing.

Worth taking off from the port of Makarska. Great views of the sea, with an observation deck on the way. During the holiday season it is advisable to set off at dawn and take more liquids. Beware of cars on the descents.
