Very nice and steep climb. Especially for that part of South Limburg. Several times been the sharp end in stages of the WorldTour race through the Benelux.
Heel mooi en steil klimmetje. Zeker voor dat deel van Zuid-Limburg. Aantal keren scherprechter geweest in etappes van de WorldTour koers door de Benelux.
Nice climb through the forest with a nice spicy part. The climb starts relaxed from the bridge over the stream on a nice asphalt road / bicycle street. After the right hand corner there is a sudden turn to the left. Make sure you are low on gears because it goes steep up immediately (probably the steepest part of the climb), then it flattens out a bit after which a second, longer, steeper part follows. When it flattens out (just before the side road so later than the profile indicates) you are almost at the top. Reasonable tarmac on the second part, the road can be dirty.
Mooi klimmetje door het bos met een lekker pittig stuk. De klim begin relaxed vanaf de brug over de beek over een mooie asfaltweg / fietsstraat. Na de bocht naar rechts volgt al snel een onoverzichtelijke afslag naar links. Zorg dat je laag in je versnellingen zit want hier gaat het meteen steil omhoog (waarschijnlijk zelfs het steilste stukje van de klim), Daarna wordt het even vlakker waarna een tweede, langer, steil stuk volgt. Als deze afvlakt (vlak voor de zijweg dus later dan het profiel aangeeft) ben je al bijna boven. Redelijk asfalt op het tweede stuk, de weg kan wel vies zijn.

De noordelijkste Kuitenbijter van Zuid-Limburg. als je bij de splitsing links afstaat kijk je tegen een klein muurtje op en gaan de percentages heel snel naar de 12 à 13 procent! dit is gelukkig van korte duur en wordt het zichtbaar minder snel. Een heerlijk rustige klim (de weg is vrij van gemotoriseerd verkeer) en een goed laagje asfalt. Let wel op als het geregend heeft, dan kan de weg heel erg modderig/glad zijn!

There are not that many climbs without traffic in the south of Limburg. If you turn off from the Heisterbrug you'll find just one. It is nice to stand on the pedals for the steep part in the forest on a wide stretch of cycle path. Enjoying a somewhat hidden pearl.
Zoveel beklimmingen zonder verkeer zijn er niet in Zuid-Limburg. Als je afslaat vanaf de Heisterbrug tref je er zo maar een. Lekker op de pedalen staan voor het steile stuk in het bos op een breed stuk fietspad. Genieten van een wat verborgen parel.

This part is on a road closed for motorized traffic. Just a little stumbling or pedalling and you're there again. Nice road that is less suitable for descending.
Het klimmetje begint heel geleidelijk op een mooi stuk asfalt. Als je afslaat naar links moet je ineens aan de bak. Het bochtje is vrij scherp waardoor je met weinig snelheid aan het steile stukje begint. Dit stukje ligt op een voor gemotoriseerd verkeer afgesloten weg. Even lekker stoempen of op de pedalen staan en je bent er al weer. Mooi weggetje die minder geschikt is voor afdalen.

Really a climb where you have to shift down in time. The turn to the left into the forest is pretty sharp and immediately after that starts the wall you have to get over, on a narrow road. So building up speed beforehand is not possible. Otherwise just a great climb if you like to get out of the saddle. The road is good and the surroundings quiet. I think the steep road is even forbidden for vehicles, so you will not encounter them at all.
Half a kilometer to the east lies the foot of the snail path near castle Terborg. Just as beautiful, but considerably easier.
Echt een klim waar je op tijd moet terugschakelen. Die bocht naar links het bos in is nogal scherp en direct daarna begint het muurtje waar je overheen moet zien te komen, over een smal weggetje. Snelheid opbouwen van te voren lukt dus niet. Verder gewoon een heerlijke klim als je graag uit het zadel komt. Wegdek is gewoon goed en de omgeving is rustig. Het steile weggetje is volgens mij zelfs verboden voor voertuigen, dus die zul je helemaal niet tegenkomen.
Een halve kilometer naar het oosten ligt overigens de voet van de Slakweg bij Kasteel Terborg. Net zo mooi, maar beduidend makkelijker.
