Short but steep calf biter with a beautiful hairpin turn, perfect asphalt and a challenging steep section that mentally helps persevere.

Vandaag als laatste klim van de dag gedaan, en hij is inderdaad erg steil. Wel zie je het eindpunt van het steile stuk in verte al snel opdoemen, wat mentaal wel helpt om door te zetten. De haarspeldbocht is inderdaad prachtig. Ik kan me wel voorstellen dat je na de bocht schrikt van de muur die dan opdoemt, want door het huis in de bocht zie je deze daarvoor nog niet. Zeker een aanrader.

Pittige klim vanuit Geulle naar het plateau tussen Moorveld en Catsop. Vanuit het dorp ga je de spoorlijn over en ga je gelijk linksaf. Je gaat dan al wat omhoog maar vanaf de haarspeldbocht schiet het stijgingspercentage tot de eerste weg rechts heel fors omhoog. Daarna vlakt het richting top af maar loopt de klim eigenlijk best nog lang door. Een pareltje die je een keer gereden moet hebben.

Mooie klim met één van de fraaiste haarspeldbochten van Nederland. Tot de tunnel onder het spoor is het nog redelijk relaxed. Na de tunnel zie je de weg imposant omhoog gaan, maar als je denkt dat dit het zware gedeelte is dan kom je bedrogen uit. Dat is pas na de hairpin waar de weg tussen wat villa's bruut omhoog stijgt. Dit duurt niet lang waarna de weg afvlakt en in de bebouwde kom met een "knik" overgaat naar semi-vals plat. Prima wegdek in een voornamelijk groene omgeving.

Tevens pak je dan een stuk meer hoogtemeters dan wanneer je naar het heuvelland zou gaan. (Snijdersberg, Moorveldsberg, Slingerberg) Wanneer je de moorveldsberg afgaat, moet je echt goed oppassen. Onderaan komt namelijk een scherpe bocht naar rechts met slecht uitzicht, meteen gevolgd door een tunneltje aan de linkerkant waar plotseling een auto uit kan komen. Dus wees verstandig en kom niet met volle snelheid richting de snijdersberg gedenderd.
