Nice climb of a good 2½ kilometres in the Osthertogenwald. Towards the first kilometre the gradient increases nicely and you enter the double digits. Then it flattens out and you even descend a bit towards the junction. At the junction, turn left towards the top but this is false flat. The entire climb you ride in the forest on a fine cycle path and don't meet many people. ... read more

Definitely preferable to the Bundesstrasse as it is prettier, steeper, more challenging and quieter. This really is a beautiful little road - along its entire length with fine asphalt which can sometimes be dirty or partly mossy - which starts through a pretty stream valley and then rises steeply through the woods. Then it's off to cycle and enjoy the peace, the nice air and the surroundings. Either way, highly recommended.
