Definitely preferable to the Bundesstrasse as it is prettier, steeper, more challenging and quieter. This really is a beautiful little road - along its entire length with fine asphalt which can sometimes be dirty or partly mossy - which starts through a pretty stream valley and then rises steeply through the woods. Then it's off to cycle and enjoy the peace, the nice air and the surroundings. Either way, highly recommended.
