For me and many others the toughest side of the Ruidenberg in Koekelare. When you're at the foot of this side, you see a real wall looming up right in front of you. It looks a bit like the Paterberg in Kluisbergen, but on a much smaller scale of course, without all that super steep stuff and cobblestones. At first it goes uphill false flat, but then you get to the real part of the slope which is about 500 meters. It goes then all the time against the 4 / 5 to 6.4 percent upwards. Little traffic. Above (before you turn right) is a finish line on the ground. So fun to sprint against your friends before the line. Nearby are some other alternatives nice so to make it an interval training.

Weinig verkeer.

At first it goes uphill false flat, but then you get to the real part of the slope which is about 500 meters. It goes then all the time against the 4 / 5 to 6.4 percent upwards. Here you can test each other on group training and ride out of the wheel. It is really a very difficult climb to do at high speed, so I always fall silent when I am almost at the top. If you want to get a few more altimeters you can take the right and then immediately left, but that is actually a bit redundant. The absolute tearjerker in the region, without a doubt. Many youth and provincial races are also organized here and often take this tricky side. You should definitely do it if you're a famous cycling fan to test your legs.
