A tough climb in a beautiful area from the picturesque Treignes. The road surface is good, which means that it is sometimes used by motorists. However, there is no real traffic and in the two times that I have climbed it, I have not met any other cyclists. The climb is short but very hard and the higher percentages (7 to 9%) really start when you pass the last house on the right side. Climb that starts in the village in a twisting way. After exiting the village, it does not get any easier, especially the last part is very steep.

In an oasis of green, with meadows beside you, you cover the first half kilometer until the road turns in a faint curve to the left. Here you almost hit the double percentages (!), but unless you are an experienced climber it is too early to stand on the pedals. It is still a few hundred meters to the top and you start to feel the acidification. After a second turn to the left, you can already see the (quasi-)summit, but it is longer than you think. With about ten meters to go and you feel like you're approaching the 15%, you have to resist the pain and keep thinking: left foot down, right foot down. When you have conquered this last part, you are stared at strangely by a herd of cows in the meadow on your right. From here, it's a rolling descent to Matagne-la-Petite.
