Wenn man nicht direkt am Anfang durch die zweistelligen Gradienten gebrochen wird, ist es danach ein hervorragender Anstieg mit wenig Verkehr und super Asphalt. Oben unduliert die Strecke mit nur noch wenigen Höhenmetern und teils tollen Ausblicken aufs Mittelmeer. Der Nationalpark ist generell nur sehr wenig von Autos befahren und es macht einfach nur Spaß hier mit dem Rennrad unterwegs zu sein.

Nice long climb where the centre of gravity is in the beginning. Especially the first 2 kilometres are clinkingly steep (especially if you've had a few climbs already). Further towards Comares it gets better, and after that it undulates up and down with some nice descents. Good road surface and little traffic. Stopover in Comares is nice, nice village on top of the mountain (balcón de Axarquia).

Mooie lange klim waarbij het zwaartepunt in het begin zit. Vooral de eerste 2 kilometer zijn klink steil (helemaal als je al een paar klimmen achter de rug hebt). Verder richting Comares wordt het beter, en daarna golft het op en neer met soms lekkere stukken dalen. Goed wegdek en weinig verkeer. Tussenstop in Comares is leuk, mooi dorpje bovenop de berg (balcón de Axarquia).
