The Port d'Eslida is a breathtakingly beautiful climb. You do not have to expect huge gradients here, you are busy looking around and enjoying all the rocks you cycle between. The road is car free which makes it even more pleasant. However, you will encounter many Spaniards who race uphill at a murderous pace. That is actually the biggest disadvantage of this climb. The road surface in jet black Spanish standard is fantastic.... read more

Very Nice. You get a lot of nice views for small effort on this climb. If you want it to be hard, you need to go fast though, as it never gets steep. After a warm day in June, I did the climb in the evening(up/down) and found that a lot of the ascent was in shade and it was very quiet. Passed by 1 car on the way up and 2 on the way down. Ps: Good for low risk descent-practicing, as the turns are medium sharp and low gradient.
