The Port d'Eslida is a breathtakingly beautiful climb. You do not have to expect huge gradients here, you are busy looking around and enjoying all the rocks you cycle between. The road is car free which makes it even more pleasant. However, you will encounter many Spaniards who race uphill at a murderous pace. That is actually the biggest disadvantage of this climb. The road surface in jet black Spanish standard is fantastic.
