Come salita non è particolarmente scenica ma non è male, e ha il vantaggio di essere una delle poche vere salite in zona. Poco prima dell'arrivo al poggio c'è una fontanella sulla destra. Consiglio anche la discesa verso Castiglione della Pescaia.
