Der Einstieg in die Montée Pilate ist relativ steil und man kommt von der stark befahrenen Route D'Eich. Danach geht es durch ein Wohngebiet mit wenig Autoverkehr. Nach dem Wohngebiet links beginnen die Serpentinen, hier habe ich noch nie ein Auto gesehen, meist ist man dort alleine. Der Asphalt ist nicht gut, es gibt viele Schlaglöcher. Die Steigung bleibt moderat und der Anstieg ist relativ kurz. Man gelangt auf eine Hochebene mit Landwirtschaft, die Aussicht von dieser Strecke aus ist nicht überragend. Von dort kann man, wenn man mit dem Gravel oder Mountainbike unterwegs ist durch den Wald (Bambesch) weiterfahren oder mit dem Rennrad über die Rue des Sept-Arpents abfahren.
