A difficult climb in the wind. Sometimes the weather forecast doesn't say there's any wind, but there is. The road is not in very good condition, except for the last 5 km. Lots of vibrations in the arms on the descent. Sometimes a bit of gravel. The summit is not very hospitable. No toilets or water fountains. A water fountain is available in Pradelles-cavardès, 6km from the summit.... read more

Nice long climb with the devil in the tail. Also pick a windless day, descending with a lot of wind was tricky at times

I prefer this side of the road to the one from Mazamet. The traffic remains fairly calm and the road is in much better condition. There's no real difficulty, apart from the fact that the road bends after Pradelles, and the last six kilometres are the most difficult. Watch out for the wind, though, as this slope is more exposed.

Done in the sun... The descent was difficult because the water was too hot in the bottles (despite a stop on the way back at Cabrespine where there is a fountain).
