This climb is not particularly steep, but being over 10 km it is all about tackling it in a spirit of economy. Avoid excessive enthusiasm in the first few kilometres, otherwise you will run out of fuel towards the end, when the gradient is not difficult but the wind starts to blow. It's good to take into account that the area is very touristy, all year round, so you have to watch out for traffic, especially at weekends. Quite a challenging climb but the views are great. The road is quite narrow, only 1 car in places, so be careful. This is a very popular mountain pass for motorcyclists. It leads through a beautiful setting with beautiful scenery. There is a hotel at the top with excellent cuisine, I recommend the Al Gallo Forcello.

Longer climb than the Austrian side of this pass. You climb in a less forested area, warmer and sunnier therefore. In return, this Italian side of the Nassfeld path offers you nicer views and fewer stretches of +12%. In any case, I enjoyed this climb.

It's good to take into account that the area is very touristy, all year round, so you have to watch out for traffic, especially at weekends. Another thing to take into account is that the bulk of the kilometres take place in sunshine.
For those who, like me, tackle these climbs with a more "tourist" spirit: waterfall at the side of the road at km 4, drinking fountain at km 5, Malga Tratten for a little break at km 8, immediately after the toughest section is over. And at the top you can find everything to eat and sleep.
