The climb is more regular of the climb from Baunei and despite the glorious view over Gorropu canion I found it less interesting as Baunei side is more variable. Nonetheless, it is overall a great climb. It's pretty difficult to put it inside a loop ride as roads are pretty scarce in number in this region. You 'll probably have to make it up/down... read more

An iconic climb of Sardinia, very long but rideable, you still have to dose yourself given the length, spectacular landscape, unique!

Amazing views when you pass Dorgali. Quite a lot of motorcyclists trying to kill themselves (luckily failing when we rode the pass). Fair priced panini and coffee at the top. As mentioned, it is difficult to avoid a there and back ride without going into a multi-day trip. As it’s the longest climb in Sardinia, it’s a must

Very nice climb. I was reminded of Canada, not for the scenery, but because it is a long climb and not steep. By the way, the heat makes it spicy. After Dorgali, there is significantly less traffic.
I descended the same road and this is a lovely descent, good road surface which is regularly a thing in Italy.
The ascent is pleasant after the steep climbs in the vicinity.

Heel mooie klim.

Nice reasonably easy climb with great views of the valley, good to combine with a trip down to Cala Gonone. In summer it's hot here, but leaving at 7am makes it a pleasantly cool ride with virtually no traffic.

This climb is actually not very difficult, you cycle easily up the mountain, the gradients are not really exciting.
The slope is constant and you have all the time to look around you.
The road surface is good but it is a very busy road and that makes this climb less attractive to do.
