Nice climb, here you still have some shelter from the sun (unlike the other climbs of the Sella Ronda. Short with a kind of plateau in the middle.

A short climb giving in return beautiful views of the Dolomites. If you start in Selva di Val Gardena, you can extend the route by a few extra kilometres

Short and sweet, not too difficult (surely easier than climbing Passo Gardena from Corvara). When I rode it (July 2025) there was a road works section with a traffic light, but I rode it quite early in the morning so the traffic was OK. The tarmac was also renewed since last time I descended through here in 2023.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery all around you, it's difficult to keep your eyes on the road!

Beautiful, not-too-long climb in the Sella Ronda. Ridden during the Maratona. Beautiful views in the heart of the Dolomites.

Fine short climb in the Sella lap clockwise. From the Sella descent, you turn right and the first kilometre is climbing in the forest. Then come the nice views and pretty soon see the Gardena pass. At the top is a restaurant.

Nice climb. Not too steep and not very long but fantastic scenery.
On a weekday at the end of May, the traffic wasn't too bad.
Definitely recommended. A climb to enjoy.

Leuke klim.

The Passo Gardena are actually two short climbs of two kilometres. Not too difficult. The scenery is really beautiful. On the pass is a restaurant to eat or drink something.

Breathtaking scenery and a fairly easy climb split into two sections. A must do.

I did this as the last climb of a clockwise Sella Ronda. Make sure you pause to enjoy the magnificent views. Also, go early and you’ll miss all the traffic.

Cycled up the Gardena pass on this side in the Sella Ronda (sense=Sella/Gardena/Campolongo/Pordoi) which for me started in Canazei.
Route in 3 parts. You start in Plan de Gralba with two kilometers of winding climbing to get to a plateau with almost flat straight road parallel to the imposing north side of the Sella group. A real relief to be able to shift up again. Last 2 km to the summit again go up via five short hairpin bends.
On the pass height with the necessary provisioning possibilities and on the way there is 360° pure nature.
During summer months in 't weekend busy tourist traffic.

Cycling up Passo Gardena is a real pleasure!

Route in 3 delen.
Tijdens zomermaanden in 't weekend druk toeristisch verkeer.

Passo Gardena opfietsen is echt al trappend genieten!
