I didn't go all the way to the top, but turned left at the intersection of the different segments. I had plotted it with Strava, which didn't offer a segment to the top, so I missed it. But the 12km I did are absolutely splendid, the views are incredible, the slopes sometimes steep but nothing redibitory, it's a must-do.

Mais les 12km que j'ai fait sont absolument splendides, les vues sont incroyables, les pentes parfois raides mais rien de redibitoire, c'est un must-do.

Exactly the same experience as Lipsie shared earlier. Fine climb, evenly distributed, no idiotically steep sections. Asphalt between Compet and Panarotta of poor quality, so watch out when descending.

Mooie klim, zoals eerder al gemeld, de bochten temperen de percentages, maar vele stukken gaan boven de 10％. Ik begon vroeg waardoor ik hoog zomer vrijwel volledig in de schaduw de klim heb kunnen doen. Een aanrader. Inderdaad geen top, wel een mooie klim. Overigens is het stuk tussen compet en panarotta gelijkmatiger, maar let bij de afdaling ook het asfalt en voornamelijk de scheuren.

A nice climb for the summer. There is a lot of cooling because of the trees, the tarmac is very good and there is little traffic (I came across 4 cars). The climb is steep, but fairly regular. You end up on a car park near the ski lifts with a nice view, but unfortunately no real summit.
Een fijne klim voor de zomer. Er is veel verkoeling vanwege de bomen, het asfalt is erg goed en er is weinig verkeer (ik kwam 4 auto's tegen). De klim is steil, maar vrij regelmatig. Je klimt wel veel rond de 10%, de bochten drukken het gemiddelde hier. Je eindigt op een parkeerplaats bij de skiliften met een aardig uitzicht, maar helaas dus geen echte top. Ook een fijne berg om af te dalen. Paar stukken waar je lekker kunt laten lopen, maar ook diverse ruime haarspeldbochten.

Panarotta een eerste keer opgereden op vanuit Levico na eerst de Menador gedaan te hebben. Een leuke regelmatige klim, dewelke niet te moeilijk is. De ruime bochten zijn tijdens het klimmen ideaal om de hartslag te laten zakken. Klimbordjes van Panarotta staan pas langs de weg zodra je voorbij Compet bent.
After 5 years back in this region. This time we went the Vetriolo way. This means that you cycle 80％ of the Panarotta climb and then don't turn left the last bit to the top of the Panarotta but turn right to Vetriolo Terme. It was very quiet on the climb. Apart from my cycling buddy Patrick, I didn't see any other cyclists and also few cars and motorbikes. Beautiful views. It was our first mountain during our cycling holiday in Trentino. This time no thunderstorm but sunny weather. Legs feel very good. What a great thing it is to cycle in the mountains. Really kicking 💪.
Na 5 jaar weer terug in deze regio. Deze keer de Vetriolo kant opgereden. Dit betekent dat je 80％ van de Panarotta klim fietst en dan niet het laatste stukje linksaf rijdt naar de top van de Panarotta maar rechtsaf naar Vetriolo Terme. Zeer rustig was het op de klim. Los van fietsmaat Patrick geen andere fietsers gezien en ook weinig auto's en motoren. Wel mooie uitzichten. Was onze eerste berg tijdens onze fiets vakantie in Trentino. Deze keer geen onweer maar zonnig weer. Benen voelen zeer goed. Wat is het toch fantastisch om in de bergen te fietsen. Echt kicken 💪.

This climb I will really never forget. During summer holidays in 2016 before breakfast from our hotel the climb done. Entire climb you drive through the forest. I came almost nobody against, delicious. Also the weather was great at departure. One kilometer before arriving on top it started to rain and I heard rumbling in the distance.... And what happened next after I entered the descent..... Flashes, bangs, thunder, almost nothing to see except descending into the forest. No fun... Until a small van drove by and honked and gestured if I was crazy and offered me a place in his car. What an angel. Car in the back and the descent to the hotel which was at the bottom of the mountain. When I got out I was shocked because at that moment there was another bang of thunder from the sky. My wife was glad I was home but had also been scared because of the weather and my cycling adventure.

Deze klim zal ik echt nooit vergeten. Tijdens zomervakantie in 2016 voor het ontbijt vanuit ons hotel de beklimming gedaan. Gehele klim rij je door het bos. Ik kwam bijna niemand tegen, heerlijk. Ook het weer was heerlijk bij vertrek. Een kilometer voor aankomst boven op begon het te regenen en hoorde ik in de verte gerommel in de lucht... En wat hierna gebeurde nadat ik de afdaling inging..... Flitsen, knallen, onweer, bijna niets meer te zien behalve afdalen in het bos. Geen pretje... Totdat er een klein busje voorbij reed en toeterde en gebaarde of ik gek was en me een plek aanbood in zijn auto. Wat een engel. Auto achter in en de afdaling in de auto naar het hotel dat onderaan de berg lag. Toen ik uitstapte schrok ik me rot omdat er op dat moment weer een knal van onweer uit de lucht kwam. Mijn vrouw was blij dat ik thuis was maar was òòk wel geschrokken geweest vanwege het weer en mijn fiets avontuur.
Tja onweer in de bergen, onvoorspelbaar.
