From Matrei I cycled up this beautiful quiet side valley of the Brenner Pass. In the first kilometers steep uphill to climb out of the Brenner wide busy valley followed by a false flat middle part through small farming villages with even slight descents and beautiful views. I chose the Unterweg up to Navis but then you have to climb via some hairpin bends to the altitude of the Oberweg to finally reach the last farm of the village Grunhöfe where the tarmac road stops. ... read more
