It's steep, terribly steep. It's that kind of wall where you have to balance your bike so you don't fall backwards while your heart is pumping and your thighs are burning. Unfortunately, I lost my balance just before the summit. My legs got a bit tired and took me down the slope between the house on the right and I had to unclip and finish on foot.... I'm bitterly sorry I didn't try again, as it's largely doable. Try this route and you'll remember it for a long... read more

This climb is a little turn off a busy road through Sarlat le Caneda. There are no views on the climb as the road is primarily servicing local houses.

The road surface is quite good with some fallen debris from trees on the day I rode it.

It is murderously steep and narrow; if a vehicle happens to be coming down as you’re heading up you’ll need to un clip, and starting again is impossible for me.

I rode it twice just to try to put in a decent time and get to the top without stopping.
It’s short enough that you can have a couple of goes at it but it’s only real positive is to be able to say that you’ve ridden a 30% climb!

At the top there are views across the valley which is nice and a little church to visit.

It’s worth riding the climb to get from the main road onto the quiet back roads.
